Southern Truck has fabricated short sides and beds for 1978 - 1979 Ford pick up trucks. These are new aftermarket boxsides that are selling for $950 per right hand side as well as for a single tank left. The dual tank short bed panel is $1,100. A complete single tank built out box sells for $4,500 and the complete dual tank built out box sells for $4,700. The built out shortbox assemblies can also come with an aftermarket tailgate shell, with no hardware for an additional $175. These boxes will also fit the 73 - 77 models, difference being the 78 - 79 models have a gas door versus the gas cap. Boxes can be built as single tank or dual tank, based upon customers request. The boxsides are like new and are packaged in cardboard for easy pickup or shipping right to your door.
Caution! The mounting on the built out shortboxes will need some modifications to bolt on to it (drilling new holes, ovaling out frame holes or welding on mounting tabs on to frame, etc.) for installation.
